Access and Removal on Your Terms
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, every individual has the right to access the personal information EEK holds about them and to request its correction or deletion. EEK built a dedicated privacy portal to handle these requests — not an email address or a PDF form, but a structured request flow that tracks the request from submission to resolution.
The privacy portal is accessible from the customer portal and from the phone. Requests are logged, acknowledged, and processed within the timeframes required by the Privacy Act. Secondary contacts — fleet managers, rental company staff — receive their own portal link via SMS when their access is approved, giving them visibility of the information EEK holds about them in relation to a job they are linked to.
