EEK's SMS Messages Are Sent Via a Native NZ Gateway
All customer and supplier SMS messages were migrated to the TNZ API — a dedicated NZ SMS provider. Delivery rates improved, messages arrive faster, and emojis work correctly.
Faster, More Reliable SMS — Everywhere in NZ
EEK's payment links, booking confirmations, status updates, and portal links all arrive by SMS. For a customer standing at a forecourt, that SMS arriving within seconds — not minutes — matters. EEK migrated all outbound SMS to the TNZ API, a dedicated New Zealand SMS provider with direct carrier connections to Spark, One NZ, and 2degrees.
The migration resulted in measurably improved delivery rates, particularly in rural areas and during peak network periods. Messages that previously had delayed delivery now arrive in seconds. Emojis, which were sometimes garbled through the previous email-to-SMS gateway, are handled correctly.
For Customers Awaiting a Payment Link
The payment link SMS is time-sensitive — it carries the deposit payment URL that confirms and dispatches the job. When this message arrives in seconds rather than several minutes, the customer can pay immediately, the job is dispatched immediately, and the tow truck is on its way sooner. In a misfuel emergency, those minutes matter.
